Sisal

Sisal is a natural plant fiber derived from the agave plant. It is used primarily in rugs, mats, and home goods. Sisal is one of the most durable natural plant fibers available.

Where it comes from

Sisal is grown in Tanzania, Brazil, Kenya, and Mexico. The agave plant grows well in arid conditions and requires little water.
